Aiming to give you FREEDOM from PAIN, STIFFNESS or INJURY with GREAT POSTURE, NATURALLY AND WITHOUT EFFORT.

Leaving you able to ENJOY LIFE the way you want to!

I’m Liz Richards and I have been a Chiropractor for over 20 years. My background is formerly in health and fitness before becoming a Chiropractor in 1999. During my youth, I was an international competitive swimmer and life-saver and later a Triathlete and Masters Competitive Swimmer.

I worked in the leisure and fitness Industry as a life-guard and water aerobics instructor and later wrote a book called Water Workout: fitness and rehabilitation. I discovered chiropractic when at the age of 28, I sought chiropractic treatment for back and neck pain that I had put up with for 10 years. I had given up my training as a competitive swimmer because of pain.

When I saw my Chiropractor, I was told that an essential operation on my jaw at the age of 17 had unfortunately been the cause of my pain and discomfort. Within 3 treatments I was pain free and totally in love with chiropractic and changed my career. After qualifying in 1999, I moved to Gloucestershire and set up my first clinic in 2002.

Breaking my back was not going to stop me from doing what I love.

In June 2015 I rapidly developed osteoporosis and 5 vertebrae spontaneously broke, one after the other in a matter of weeks. I was out of action for 6 months.

However, when I returned to work, I found I could only manage 2-3 hours a day at most. I was in constant pain. I was short of breath and was about to consider retiring from Chiropractic altogether.

I had an associate working for me, but the treatment was so painful, and it just didn’t help. I became despondent and depressed. I just couldn’t do what I loved any more. My spine between my shoulder blades was so rounded and hunched I couldn’t even stand up straight and I certainly couldn’t lie flat.

Then, at a Chiropractic conference, I found out about a technique that could correct poor posture and after talking to the person who was teaching it, I signed up to do the basic course in Advanced Biostructural Correction™ in January 2016. I was more interested in being treated than learning how to do it.

By the time I got there, I felt so ill and was in so much pain, I really didn’t know how I was going to get through the day. I couldn’t sit or lie down or stand without pain. In fact, the only way I could sleep was curled up in my recliner chair! I didn’t even know how I was going to be able to get any sleep that night, staying in a B and B.

I arrived at the seminar and the first thing they did was take a picture of me from the side, from the front and from the back. I had to breath in, then out and let my body slump. I was so slumped forward I wanted to curl up on the floor, but I knew I wouldn’t be able to get up!

The pain relief was instant!

During the seminar one of the tutors could see I was in so much pain, he took me to one side and offered to treat me so that I could be more comfortable. The pain relief was instant.

The change in the shape of my back was instant. I was completely blown away by the difference it made with just a couple of adjustments done, very gently and standing up against a wall. This was like no other Chiropractic technique I had ever experienced. It was amazing and it didn’t hurt. The colour came back in my face.

I was no longer grey from not being able to breath properly and I could stand, sit and lie down without pain for the first time in 12 months. Needless to say; I got back to work and started treating all my patients using the new technique.

Everyone noticed the difference in me and in themselves. All of a sudden, there was a real buzz of excitement in the clinic. I started taking pictures to record the before and after photos. People showed their friends and colleagues and then they’d come in to get treated.

The clinic was so busy I had taken on a friend of mine, Nick Parry, to locum for me whilst I was on holiday in August 2016. We had met at the seminar in January. Then disaster struck. I had a very nasty fall and broke my right wrist in 5 places. Just when all was so well. I messaged Nick and asked if he could stay for a few months!

Thankfully, he could. A few months turned into a year and Nick has built such a great reputation I am very happy to say he is staying. My motto in life is to live a life you love and love the life you live, no matter what. I love being a Chiropractor and breaking my back in 5 places and smashing my wrist up, has not stopped me from doing what I love.

In 2017 we expanded the clinic. We have more space and more rooms so Nick and I could both work side by side and continue transforming people’s lives through the treatment we do. We continue to grow and expand and continue our mission to give people great posture, great health and be free from pain, stiffness and injury.
